OLD WOODEN PICTURE FRAMES INTO RUSTIC STARS

Welcome , happy you could stop by. Santa is doing all his final checks hope your on the very good list like me "wink" "Wink"!   I have had this big pile of broken old wooden picture frame pieces just taking up space in my stash closet so I thought I would craft something for Christmas from them.....this is what I came up with.........

The frame e were all different woods and thicknesses but it did not matter. After arranging them  all in place I used construction glue to keep them in tack.
I gave them a coat of watered down white paint seeing that the wall is dark so there would be a bit of contrast.
Then a bit of sanding to distress it a bit

A bow and some faux pine. These stars can be decorated for every season so I just may use them year round.

Have any broken picture frames around this craft is super easy. One thing though once you glue them with construction glue let them set overnight just to give it enough time to dry. Have fun!

A LITTLE CRAFTED CHRISTMAS FOR THE FRONT IRON GATE

Hello and welcome to Sweet Tea N' Salty Air! Hope you are enjoying the Christmas madness as much as I am. I decided to put a little Christmas on the gate......Everything I used I had on hand even the lights.

I had some large pieces of white plastic corrugated sheets that I used to make the snowman....would you believe I used an electric meat cutter to cut it out? worked wonderful , just added some eyes, a carrot nose ,hat, scarf and hat, all-in which I had around.

The wreath is a hand crafted grapevine just adding some holly leaves, colorful bulbs , some burlap and a welcome banner completed the wreath.

The snowman has sprigs of pine for the arms and a string of snowflakes and white lights.

I used areal carrot for the nose.......don't laugh, hey we gotta do what we gotta do here in the deep south. Although you wouldn't know it. It's been cold so we've been enjoying hot cocoa by the fire. Trust me there is no swimming going on around these parts. Many family members think I enjoy the beach and sun  n' fun not true, believe me.

Thanks so much for stopping by take care and enjoy the holiday season!

So I decided to paint a bunch of them with some chalkboard paint....

I now have several chalkboard blocks that I could say so many different things and use as many or as little as I want.

Some are tall some short and some long across.

My message says I Love Winter! They would be great for celebrating birthdays etc. Got some scraps of wood around? Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

THE CUTEST LITTLE BURLAP CHRISTMAS TREES EASY TO CRAFT

Hi, so happy you could stop by. As I was shopping at Joanne's for some materials I saw these cute burlap trees and quickly gathers some burlap and bells and cording and went home to make my own.

With just some lightweight cardboard I saved from some food boxes, burlap, cording  a few bells and what ever else you like you can create these little shabby vintage looking trees.

I made some to add some Christmas to the Bealles cottage that was given to me many years ago from my mom, so I cherish it and it appears in my décor year round.

Just bend the cardboard in to a cone cut and trim and glue with hot glue. The next step is cutting the burlap covering the cone and hot gluing at the seem.

I used cording and bells on some and some pretty light pink opaque ribbon on some.

I am sure the fairy's that dwell in the Beall's cottage are ready to celebrate Christmas!  This is a very inexpensive craft that even a beginner would have some fun with. Happy crafting to you!!
