Delicious crumb cake recipe

Welcome! Boy do I have a super easy delicious crumb cake recipe to share with you! It's perfect for the holidays! I've been making this for many years. The recipe comes from a vintage Naples , Florida cookbook and includes yummy recipes from the best Naples, Florida cooks. Put your apron on and gather your ingredients!

Whether you bake it in a cake pan, a tube pan it does not matter I chose a black iron pan today!
The directions are simple, reserving one cup of mixture is most important

Bakes up perfectly,

There are 2 things I do with this recipe to make it more delicious but not necessary.

- I add about a tablespoon of cinniman to the 1 cup of reservedcrumbs for the top

-I also make a glaze to add. To the top while the crumb cake is still warm. About 1/4 cup of butter melted. Add about a 3/4 cup of confectioners sugar, 1 top of vanilla mix well add half & half enough to make a smooth consistency and simply spread the top of the warm crumb cake and enjoy!

Of course the crumb cake is delicious  just as the recipe reads without my added touches.

I do hope you will treat yourself and family to this delicious cake, I'm sure it will become your family favorite!

                                  Enjoy!

2 & 3 Tier Baskets, a fun Way To Decorate

Welcome to you! Happy you stopped in...wish I could offer you a steamy cup of cocoa and a sugar cookie! While at Goodwill I found a 2 tier basket. Black and metal chicken wire design.

I decided to give it  a whitewash. Tier baskets are a great way to display some cute tiny items farmhouse style!

I had a couple of salt and pepper shakers that I collected from our local grocery. A few sprgs of pine and some mini wooden blocks.  Tier baskets can be decorated for all holidays,  seasons. A bit of tabletop fun!

A great item to hunt for at your local thrft store !

Pretty Christmas sewn wall pocket!

Welcome! When your at the grocery and the cashier says paper or plastic? I jump at the paper! I have made so many beautiful things from brown paper.

Today I made a sewn sack filled with greens and berries and some Pinecone.  I stenciled some  fun farmhouse words and hung it on my vintage window in my tea room.

Did you know you can sew brown paper?  I also made a little pendant to hang underneath.  The brown paper stencils so well.

             A fun inexpensive Christmas decor!

Welcome to the Christmas Cabin!

Welcome ! Happy you could stop in! Hope everyone  is well. I always dreamed of having a little cabin deep in the woods surrounded by wild animals of the forest. An old front porch with a few rocking chairs listening to the water of a a near by stream. We'll I'm kinda out there very close to the Everglades but no real cabin. No problem I've turned the living room into a cozy cabin room , let's take a peek.....

Cute Farmhouse Christmas Pillow To Craft!

Happy day! Welcome ! For this pillow you really don't need any expert sewing skills. If you can sew a straight line, you got this! You can even sew this by hand. For this craft you will need the following items:

Plain piece of fabric ,your desired size. (I used a scrap of linen)

Some homespun fabric for the wreath, your desired color, I used a green homespun

Some fabric for the farmhouse bow

Stuffing of your choice, you can even use some old clothing cut up

Stencils, thread, craftpaint

Let's get started:

Ok guys, this is Diago he is a sewing machine stalker...if he sees me walk away just for a minute, he's there and the sewing machine will be untreated and minus a spool of thread lol.
After cutting your desired pillow you should have 2 pieces, prepare your homespun fabric by ripping it into strips about 2 to 3 inches wide and 5 or so inches long.
It's a good idea to draw a circle, simply start taking a piece of the term fabric and sewing through the middle, do this all around the circle taking care not to leave any open spaces in the circle.  Then just tie each and everyone.
I added some stenciling but that's not nessasary, a farmhouse bow is simple it's just tearing some strips of fabric to your desired size then simply make a bow.

This would make a great Christmas gift!

Hope you will try this craft! It's easy and the children can help as well! Thankyou for stopping in today!
