Autumn Kitchen starring red, welcome, Come on in!

Welcome, Its that season when colors are vibrant and warm. Hot drinks soothe the sole. Fireside conversations lead to melted chocolate and marshmallows hugged by Graham crackers! So today I share many kitchen changes I have said goodbye to Teal and hello to red. I have changed my drop leaf table out for a vintage "greenbean table", meaning this ole table sat field side with grama cleaning the freshly picked green beans.  So in a sense is a farm table. The new red top sets he stage for the kitchen. I ave included lots of repurposed items, painted items ,  thrift store finds all in the name of fun.

This large rooster carving was a goodwill find.

The shabby chic Farmhouse pumpkin, Easy to Craft

Hi there, nice that you could stop in. Seeing that Autumn is swiftly approaching I thought it would be fitting to craft a pumpkin. I have seen many varieties of fabric pumpkins but this one is a tad different. For this craft you will need:

1 med. Styrofoam ball
A hot glue gun and glue sticks
About 3/4 of a yard of fabric of your choice
A tad of burlap for the stem
A bit of rope or cording
Fabric for the bow

This is actually easy, while your glue gun is heating you can take your fabric and rip it into strips about 2 inches wide. Then you will cut the strips to 8 or so inch pieces.
Once you have a pile and your glue gun is ready start by taking a strip of fabric tie it in the middle put a dot of glue on the tie and begin to adhere to the styrofoam as shown.
Each piece is glued on to the ball until the the entire ball is covered.
Te glue will go onto middle tied part of the 8 inch strip.

This is a fun craft to do with a few friends . It's fun to see the final results. If you want a slightly larger pumpkin you can  cut the strips a bit larger.

                           Happy Crafting!
