OLD CEREAL CARD BOARD BOXES TURNED INTO CUTE AS A BUTTON GINGERBREAD KIDS!
Hi there, glad you stopped by, I would like to share these cute little shabby gingerbread kids we made from old cereal box cardboard.
These are easy to do . First cut your shape out and we kind of went with the idea no two would be exactly alike . I then took the hot glue gun and just squiggled all around the edges, I also drew on the buttons with hot glue so you get the effect of frosting after you highlight the white on the glue. Add a cute face some paint to the buttons and a pretty hair bow for the girls.
I also shaded a little brown paint on as well. They just made us smile when we were done. Such a cute addition to the tree at no cost!
The little shabby ginger boys got bow ties!
We attached some cording to hang the shabby kids up. Do you have any light weight cardboard from cereal around your house? You can make some for your tree, This is a great craft to do with the children , they will just love these gingerbread kids! Thanks for stopping by Sweet tea n' Salty Air
Welcome brrrrrrr! its cold here in S. W. Florida and everywhere for that matter hope you are as warm as can be. This winter I wanted to go with a winters farm theme. I crafted a sign my imaginary WinterCrest Farm and all the farm items to go with it . I painted things I had been saving when I conjured up this idea months ago.
So my kids thought I was crazy saving the Mrs. Butterworths plastic bottles but I gave them a coat of black chalk paint and added the price seemed fitting because the farm sign says pure maple syrup.
White lights and a few baron branches to give the winter glow
This little ceramic piggy bank also got a lick of paint
I added my vintage wooden breadbox filled with raffia and some blue and white dishware
A simple rag garland
So this mantle display did not cost me any money just stuff I was saving and some paint and an old piece of wood !
Well I have been absent from the blogger world for some time , reason being I'm just too darn busy reading all the other wonderful blogs and their inspiration keeps me crafting and building and getting into all kinds of creative trouble....But I have created a very vintage looking backsplash for nearly nothing. I scanned through my mind repeatedly for a unique backsplash that would not break the bank yet it had to be smashing looking. Low and behold after a thorough first take my idea was "born".
All you need for this project is Aluminum foil, a stencil of your choice, white glue, paint for highlighting, water based sealant if you choose to.A Flat surface for working, a soft cloth and plenty of patience.
hhSo, what do you think? you like the look? Now lets get started. The process is as follows: Place your stencil on a flat surface place your piece of tin foil on top of the stencil, take your very soft cloth and gently rub the foil and you will get the imprint of the sten…
Hi there welcome! Hope everyone is enjoying the day. Lets talk Shiplap for a bit, I was thinking that Joanna Gaines of Fixer Upper was maybe just a tiny bit over doing it with her shiplap but let me tell you she has introduced a wonderful way to explode your home with vintage style and beauty her excitement is fully understood now.....thank you Joanna for introducing me anyway to such a smashing wall finish.
So this is something I wanted to try for a bit , I have a huge wall in the kitchen that I cant really remedy meaning everything I do there I really am not happy with until now that is........people all you need is a paintbrush measuring tool lots of masking tape, dark paint and light paint and you can achieve the "shiplap look". Lets take a look
ok so this is just a flat black painted wall and you do need a dark base color or if you prefer use a light base color and dark on top but the most important trick to all this is CONTRAST For this Faux shiplap application …
