A MAKEOVER FOR A RETIRED ELF CHAIR
Hi there so happy you had some time to stop by, I found this very cute little country chair just sitting there in the thrift store story be told is that it is a "retired ELF CHAIR from the North Pole ", no I haven't hit the bottle its true it was once in Mrs. Clause kitchen and the elf's use to sit in the kitchen peeling potatoes seeing that Santa bought new ones for the little guys. wink wink. Anyway I am honored to own this little chair and in honor of Christmas I made it into a count down to Christmas Chair.
Here is how the little elf chair started..........
This cute chair was made from scraps of wood, you know from the toys. I sprayed it all white.
I painted a Christmas tree on the seat and made a stocking garland. The heart is painted with chalkboard paint.
It is complete with a lil birdhouse which I painted a tiny wreath on and added a bow.
The chair also has bird attached to some wire.
The legs are painted as candy canes and I added a red check ruffle around the seat.
WOW, did you see this 34 days until Christmas we better get busy! I thank you for stopping by Sweet Tea N' Salty Air and I hope you enjoyed the former elf chair! You can find me at these fun linky parties, you won't want to miss all the fun!
Welcome everyone! It's finally Christmas here at Sweet Tea N' Salty Air, a time for rejoice, and happiness to share with family and friends! Traditions are also kept such as here every Christmas morning I make homemade cinnamon buns a sweet doe recipe from my late gram. Well what are you waiting for come on in!
Welcome...hope I find everyone enjoying everything Fall has to offer...as I see it I think that it may be everyones very favorite season. Here in Florida we have no changing leaves or Acorns but we do have some magnificent pinecones and a recent discovery of The Florida paper tree. My daughter and her friends went to the woods to gather some wood for the outdoor fire pit and as I was passing the wagon of cut logs I noticed they resembled birch tree a bit so I went and checked it out better. One of the logs was peeling apart oh I thought this is very cool so I grabbed a few logs and brought them on in the house I peeled one apart.
I thought I would try a couple of things first I covered a old floor board entirely. I used wood glue.
So I crafted this lodge sign just using some stencils and paint and attached these two?, sorry they look like a type of pine cone they were interesting so I gathered some.
Then I thought I would peel off some big enough pieces to wrap around just a typica…
Hello there......looking for a wonderful inexpensive Holiday Craft?? I have just the thing to gather the whole family around the table, serve a little hot cocoa and some cookies and it's a party! This is all you will need to get this party started......
Some basic white paper, scissors, glitter and some glue. The glue you will want to paint the finished snowflakes with but we did add a little water to it. I am so a magazine saver, this is an old one "Martha Stewart Kids", If you follow the numbered steps and besure to get a good fold the results areendless.
It is true no two snowflakes are a like! Once you get a "shovel" full its time to bring them to the glitter box, just a shallow box to sprinkle glitter, before that just a couple brushes of glue which we did in a different box then the glitter.
This is just one cut but once you follow steps 1-5 you can make your own cuts !
Little miss smarty pants which is my oldest daughter decided to show off with he…
