THEY ALL SAID DONT PAINT IT, ISAID HOGWASH!

 Welcome! Nice of you to stop by.  Many of you  will say : oh no! Why would you go and paint a cherry wood piece of furniture? We'll I was given it in December right before Christmas.  It is a huge coffee table it has 2 big drawers that can accommodate  remotes etc  it has 2 large couches around it along with 2 recliners.  But I just couldn't get past that dark wood.

So against everyone's advice I  gave it a lick of paint.  The first thing  I used was Stainkilz . I thought about all the use this  table will get.  Then I finished it off with Rustoliums painters choice. I left some darkness to  peek through. Love the legs!

So it's whatever you like! Don't like it paint it. I'm lovng her as I refer to furniture as a her or him .  She' fits so well with the farmhouse country cottage  theme and is ready for all the use we can give her.

GARDENING IN FLOWER CONTAINERS IS SO FUN!

 Welcome! If you don't have a sprawling piece of land to garden no worries! Or maybe you live somewhere where weather can threaten your plants. Sometimes it's just better to be able to carry your plants on inside. 

Just 3 weeks ago planted basil seeds , now look at it today.

So green and healthy! I can even start pinching leaves for  cooking. Just a pot with some garden soil , proper drainage and some 🌞.  The seeds were about 1.75

Herbs are so wonderful! I love to cook and be able to pick fresh herbs  when needed and at a fraction of the cost of buying.

I will grow  vegetables and sunflowers from seeds that I will share soon.  But I couldn't resist flat of petunias I bought to fill a flower box.

5 gallon  buckets are ideal for tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, squash, onions and almost any vegetable or flower. Be sure to drill holes for drainage or add some rocks to the bottom.

Also an important detail is to be sure not to make the pots too heavy that you will never be able to move them if need be. 

And that's it !  Just plant and let the sun and water do the rest.
