Welcome, so happy you could pop in. Hoping everyone is well . If you visit you know that I love to add fun to my decorating, especially the kitchen. I spend many hours in there, whipping up baked goods, yummy dinners an old favorites polish pickles . We make them many times a a year.
Recently my sweet aunt gifted me a slew of vintage tablecloths, doilies and cloth napkins so I have been having a blast. My theme in the kitchen is fresh Berries, cherries and of course Sweet Tea.
I repainted a piece for the island and scraped it a bit to have the previous colors pop a bit. I added some stenciling for fun.
The curtain and clothes I sewed from a vintage tablecloth that had rips that I bought from a local thrift.
The berry dishes in back of the stove is a set I bought at our local thrift.
If your wondering whats under cover on the stove, that would be some cinnamon bread and rice Krispy treats. Lucky to have had a big enough piece of the tablecloth to hang on the oven.
So nice having visitors in the kitchen tonight. Stay well friends. Will you have a summer theme in the kitchen? Its all in good fun. Oops you see all my mismatched dishes. We use those for everyday. Those dishes have 3 left to a set but just can't bid them farewell seeing that I once loved them as an entire set.
Happy homemaking,
LISA
