NOTHING WELCOMES A NEW SEASON BETTER THAN A DIY WREATH UPON YOUR DOOR!

Hi there, happy Fall! Seems like it was just yesterday we were saying bye to Fall...the seasons pass way too quickly so we must enjoy them while they are here! I don't think there is any better way to welcome a season and family and friends than a pretty wreath....even prettier if you make it yourself. It just shows the love you put out there for your home and friends and family. Its like the cherry on the cupcake !  I have been busy making a number of wreaths. Front door, side door , back door and the front iron gate. The wreath I am sharing today is on the kitchen door from the lanai. It is a steel door like most in these parts I guess due to the humidity etc...  I keep all the basic grapevine wreaths and just give them a spray with some Pledge before decorating.

The base is a grapevine wreath , homespun material was ripped and knotted all around and some earthy type pieces from my flower stash were attached.

If you notice the wreath hanger that is not so pretty but great for glass and mirrors working by a suction cup, making hanging a wreath easy just about anywhere. They were purchased from QVC a few years back.

I took a thin board and covered it with burlap and stenciled Fall and added a wire ribbon to accompany the wreath. Have you hung a wreath yet? Wreaths are so forgiving they look wonderful what ever way you want to design them! Thanks so much for dropping on in today!

THIS OLD GIRL LOOKS GOOD ENOUGH TO STILL WORK THE FARM!

Hi there so happy you could join me here at Sweet Tea N' Salty Air today! Hope you are enjoying the start of Fall. Just the word Fall puts Apples, leaves, pumpkins and rosy cheeks in my thoughts. I have been switching things around to prepare for the very busy holidays that will soon be upon us. I have been creating more work spaces for baking and cooking prep etc. So as I have done in the past turned the dining room into a "butlers type pantry and adding the dining table to the end of a very large living area. By doing that I have added 2 more prep areas that they could also double as added eating areas as well. I host Thanksgiving, Christmas, cookie parties etc. for quite a bit of friends and family. In the butlers pantry I added a very old friend , you may have seen her before in a past post.....
The last time you may have seen this old girl she was a light ginger color with a bird stencil.

DON'T WORRY, I HAVE FALL IN THE BAG WITH THIS "SAGE" WREATH WINK WINK!!

Hi all! So happy you could stop in today, If you stopped in before in the Fall season you know that I love making things with some brown grocery sacs. The bag material is so great to work with, it can be bent, wet painted into something really terrific!

Pine cones, one of my favorite natural resources in the fall and winter, what about you? Our little Natalie was out and about and gathered these huge pine cones. Out of these I will cut them into 3's for some pretty flowers to add to the Sage wreath.

I cut quite a few of these leaves and then stained them a green hue.

Love the fact that when the brown paper gets wet it naturally crinkles into the shape you want.

Now I don't advise you to use your electric knife if its the only one you have, I have three ......just in case I burn one out. You can pant them or leave them natural.

Attach the leaves accordingly then add the pinecone flowers using a hot glue gun.

So very happy to share this  craft with you! Thanks for visiting and I am working hard preparing for you all to take a Fall tour real soon here on Sweet Tea N' Salty Air!
Come join me at the following linky parties for some inspiration!
