YOU KNOW THOSE OUT DATED FOAM BACK PLACEMATS HIDDEN AWAY IN THE DRAWER?

Image
Hi there, welcome to Sweet Tea N' Salty Air.......you must be wondering what I have been up to. Actually I will be sharing a little something in a few days, but for now I want to share a cool discovery I made. You know those dated foam back placemats that are sitting idol in the drawer? time to take them out. As I was cleaning out cabinets etc. I found these
Definitely does not go with our décor so I went to my contact paper stash. I found some fun paper with cherries just right for summer.

I tore the top plastic off...
I covered the mats over using this pretty contact paper and to think I almost tossed them out! Contact paper has come a long way, they have such beautiful designs. I found that the assortment of contact paper is better online.
The best part is they are washable. So pull your old mats out and give them some new life.
Thank you for visiting , bye until next time.

KEYLIME PIE A FlORIDA FAVORITE!

Image
Hi there, hope you are enjoying your Labor day holiday! I want to share a couple of great recipes you may want to try out for your next pic nic!

I crafted a summer sign from some scrap wood floor board.

These recipes come from an old church cookbook that have the very best of olden recipes.  This recipe uses a pie shell and involves cooking. This recipe is very good.
This version is not a typical Key Lime pie kind of a freezer version but is very easy and I think a wonderful summer desert.

Hope you will try this delicious desert, lucky for me our neighbor has a huge Key Lime Tree filled with fruits, yah!!!   Thanks for stopping by Sweet Tea N' Salty Air... have a great holiday!

HOP IN WE ARE GOING ON A HOLIDAY TO THE FLORIDA EVERGLADES!

Image
Hi there, hop in your just in time for our holiday to the Florida Everglades! We don't have to go very far its just down the road a few. You ready we are going on a gator hunt.....not really but we will find some.
First stop the beautiful ocean in the everglades, this part is just for looking at if we stick around here long enough we can see a dolphin or two and maybe even a shark.
Here is the famous Rod And Gun Club...remember the movie "Gone Fishing" staring Danny Glover and Joe Pesci this is were the movie was made. They actually catch this place on fire in the movie. If you have not seen the movie you must it is hilarious. The inside is so beautiful with Florida woodwork and vintage fishing décor and its right on the water were the famous Stone crabs are plentiful. If you have never eaten Stone crabs they are superb, the very best of crabs.
This is the side view of the lodge.

This is one captain who will take you out on a fishing trip that you will for sure bring …

DEL'S THRIFT WAREHOUSE, A LITTLE PIECE OF SECOND HAND HEAVEN!

Image
Hi there, welcome to Sweet Tea N' Salty Air, have a seat and pour yourself some coffee cause I have a fabulous place to share with you! As you all know I am a crazy thriftier, I am always hunting for new treasure. On a recent venture with Mr. Sweet Tea N' Salty Air we discovered this amazing thrift warehouse and the best part is the prices are so very reasonable !They accept paypal and have mailing service as well. They out do any thrift store that I have ever been to, the thing I love most is they have just about anything you could ever want to keep house. If your like me a collector of the olden they have that to. They have so many treasures that if you are planning a trip you should plan on spending at least an hour to scan all the many treasures.

This piece is a beauty and reasonably priced, what I like best is that they have some vintage mixed with thrift new that really brings a terrific image how you can decorate with vintage and throw some new in there too!

 I fell in…
